The Boater Cross takes place on the 19th November at Flowerpots weir and is by invitation only, as last year it will also incorporate a party at The Mill on the Exe.

Following its resounding success last year, Yak are once again organising an invitation only Boater Cross for your enjoyment.

For those who didn't attend last year the course involves a four to six man bank start, with a paddle over the first weir, a down river sprint to a marker buoy moored on the other side of the river, a 360 degree circuit around the buoy, then back across the river and through a gate hung from the bridge, over the second and third weir and a final sprint to the pub garden wall, all in a very short play boat, of course!

The combination of some of the South West's best paddlers, plus invited guests from further a field, massive spotlights, a huge sound system, a pub and a specially adapted whitewater course proved a successful combination and has set a precedent for 2005.
